Friday Feeling

I really want to start doing some outfit posts as soon as I find a suitably neutral coloured wall in my house to act as a backdrop. I'm so glad it's Friday because I've been working all week and can't wait to dress up and head out with my friends tonight!

Kate Moss circa 1994, can anybody i.d the designer? Such a beautiful sequin dress! I wish it were mine but will have to make do with body con and Chanel Rouge Noir nail varnish. Have a lovely weekend!

When I was little I once pritt-sticked multi-coloured sequins to the front of a canary yellow t-shirt and wore it to play in the park. I may have grown up slightly now, but my love for shiny things is ever enduring. I adore this outfit I saw a while ago on Garance Dore - the combination of twinkly silver sequins and earthy tones is heavenly. This afternoon in Topshop I miraculously found the last silver sequinnned Kate Moss cardigan, in my size, hanging in front of a rack of jeans. I took this as a sign and bought it.

I've always loved the photographs Corinne Day took of Kate Moss for The Face in 1990, when she was just 15. I have this one on my wall. Speaking of the lady herself, her new Topshop collection launches on Thursday - I can't wait to get my hands on the silver, heavily sequinned cardigan to wear with absolutely everything.

Alber is a Ladies man

I read a lovely interview with Alber Elbaz in The Observer over the weekend. I really do think he is the most darlingest little man. Last week I saw the Lanvin statement necklaces from S/S 09 in a glass case in Selfridges, and suddenly I felt like Charlie Bucket in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, gazing in at all the Wonka chocolate, misting up the shopfront glass. I could just eat up these gorgeous, opulent fuschia and jade jewels, dripping off satin ribbon - delicious.
